Tasks
1 Recreate the story behind the word cloud below. (pairwork)
2. Write a newspaper report of the same story. Include some witnesses, write it in columns , choose the name for your local newspaper.

Choice 1.
You are a newspaper reporter,you will have to cover the news of a tidal wave causing a catastrophe in New York and how Spiderman (the superhero) saved the city and the population.
Choice 2.
You are a reporter. You will have to cover some piece of news with the superhero or real life hero saving somebody from an extremely dangerous situation. You can choose the situation

Writing a newspaper article
Work with this article from BBC.
- Compare the headline to the first paragraph.Find similarities and differences
- Find the article's different parts.Give a title to each one.
- Analyse quotations: who? why? when?... are they quoted
- The character's local or international dimension: how is it rendered?
- Language: What is the prevailing Tense used and why? what different Aspects can you see? (continuous or perfect)
